In 2007, as first-generation immigrants, we came to the United States with our seven-year-old child, beginning a brand-new chapter in our lives. There is an old Chinese saying: “Read ten thousand books, travel ten thousand miles.” Inspired by this philosophy, we discovered RV travel soon after arriving in America and quickly fell in love with this unique way of exploring the world. Over the past 19 years, an RV has become far more than just a vehicle—it has been our family’s home on the road, a classroom without walls, and a place where we have shared countless unforgettable memories together. Our family continued to grow with the arrival of three more children in 2008, 2011, and 2012. More than a decade ago, the day we took the Oath of Allegiance and became U.S. citizens remains one of the most emotional moments of our lives. This free, welcoming, and authentic country has given our family countless opportunities, while also reminding us to treasure every moment we spend together. In 2019, we purchased our very first RV—a Thor Four Winds 23U. During the pandemic, while many families stayed home, we traveled across America in our RV, visiting countless national parks, coastlines, mountain ranges, and charming small towns throughout 42 states.
