Nadine the Younger is a 2020 Ford Transit Van equipped to make the driving a little easier and safer with Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping System, Forward Collision Warning, Pre-Collision Assist, Drive Modes, Enhanced Park Assist, Cross-Traffic Alert, Ecoboost V6 Gasoline Engine, All Wheel Drive, Extended Fuel Tank (31 gal), and rear view camera. She has been transitioned from a cargo van to a camper van featuring a full size bed; propane heater and stove; two fans for ventilation; a water system including a 24 gallon tank, sink, and outside shower; an electrical system including solar panels, lithium batteries, and inverter; a weBoost Cell Phone Signal Booster; a composting toilet; bug screens on all the doors and windows; and lots of storage including drawers, a hanging closet, and the "garage." Urine is actually full of nutrients like nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus, which are the main ingredients in plant fertilizers. So don't dump it into storm drains, lakes, or rivers. The solids go into a container where it is mixed with coco pith or peat moss. If you are going to poop in Nadine's toilet, you are going to have to dispose of the humanure before returning the van at the end of your rental period. The toilet can be easily removed from the van and the humanure container can be emptied into a plastic bag. You could dump the contents of the bag into a pit privy, or depending on where you are, dig a deep hole, dump in the humanure, and bury it. But another option is to throw the bag into the trash. It is not illegal. It is not a hazardous waste. Just think about how soiled baby diapers, soiled adult diapers, and pet waste are disposed. You are likely to find, however, that there is usually a readily available and better place to poop than in the van.
