The lower "bed" can function as a couch with a single bed behind it, or the couch can fold down to create a queen-sized bed. The upper bunk is oversized, has a ladder to the top, and is on hydraulic arms so that it can be tilted up and out of the way to make more headroom for the couch during the day.
