Solar Powered Luxury Toy Hauler

This rig has a full solar solution installed that includes 1200 watts of solar panels, a 3000 watt Victron inverter,  600 amp hours of Battle Born Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries, Victron battery monitor, Victron solar charge controller, and Victron Cerbo GX monitor (over $10,000 invested). To keep things running when the sun isn't shining, there's a 5500 watt Onan generator and dual fuel tanks that hold up to 60 gallons of gas. This rig has proven itself as a full-time camper since October 2020. To smooth out the towing experience, there is a GenY fifth wheel Executive Kingpin (added November 2023), independent suspension, and disc brakes. The trailer has a Flex Armor roof with lifetime guarantee (installed November 2023 for over $9,900). You will never have to go up on the roof to seal any seams with messy Dicor sealant. There are two full bathrooms, room for seven adults to sleep, and has all the comforts of home to include a large residential refrigerator. There are three smart TVs inside and one basic TV outside. The electric fireplace in the living room has a custom stone tile surround. Many of the RV's controls have been automated through a smart home system using Home Assistant along with the existing One Control by Lippert. There is a Pepwave Peplink router that, when paired with a cellular plan, Starlink or other satellite ISP, or any Internet connection using an Ethernet cable, will enable you to monitor your camper from anywhere you have access to the Internet (provided the camper is connected to the Internet). This also works in conjunction with smart devices such as Amazon’s Alexa, Google Smart Assistant, or any device that can connect to Home Assistant by using voice commands, scripts, or automations. Grand Design repaired the “Frame Flex” problem in November 2023.

Original list was over $144,000 with actual price paid just under $112,000. A comparably equipped 2024 397 THS has a MSRP of over $221,000. With an expected discount of 25%-33%, you would be paying at least $148,000. With all the added extras, this is an outstanding value, whether you're looking for a turnkey camper that allows you to go completely off the grid or if you prefer to stay in RV resorts.
