With Halloween coming up, we decided to put together a list of the best campgrounds for celebrating Halloween! Pack up the RV and don't forget the decorations, because this trip will be one for the books.<\/p>

If you're searching for a thrill to excite your journey this Halloween. Carter Caves State Park<\/a> is the perfect place to do so. Each Halloween, actors line the sides of a quarter mile wooded trail to scare you! Admission is only $10 for the small hike and the website suggest you don't bring along younger children. Come see why visitors keep returning to the fear every year!<\/p>

Also included in the RV park are perfect locations to go birding, gem mining, caving, hiking \u00a0and horseback riding. If you travel with a horse, this campground has specially designated equestrian camping spots. Don't miss out on all this campground has to offer.<\/p>

Here at Killen's Pond State Park<\/a>, visitors can take one of the many hayrides offered throughout the season. Entrance to the park costs $4 for in state admission and $8 for out of state visitors. With a ticket, visitors can hop on the Fall Hayride and take a lovely, peaceful ride through the area. Fall Hayrides are scheduled for October 13th and resume in November. During the weeks between, the park offers Harvest Hayrides to visitors staying and engaging in all of their fall harvest activities!<\/p>

Travelers can also hunt and fish in many of Delaware's state parks. Hiking, biking and kayaking are all options for families to engage in during the day downtime.<\/p>

Every fall season, Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park in Indianapolis<\/a> hosts a fun packed weekend for families known as the Little Goblins Weekend at the beginning of pumpkin season. The weekend kicks off Friday night and includes activities like Pumpkin Bowling and a family movie. Saturday, things speed up and activities are packed in including games, Yogi time, planting pumpkin seeds, visiting a pumpkin patch and trick-or-treat. Sunday closes things out with a game known as capture the pumpkin.<\/p>

The first event is a light hearted social entitled, \"Drink Up, Witches.\" The next night, join your friends at the murder mystery dinner show on the property. If you are looking for a destination to get artsy, this campground teaches you how to incorporate arts and crafts into fall decorating while celebrating Halloween at the same time. Timber Ridge RV Resort<\/a> hosts a different themed Halloween Fest every weekend in October. The majority include leaf rubbing, mini pumpkin decorating and are closed out with a cider and donut tasting.\u00a0These activities embody fall up north perfectly and we couldn't love it more!<\/p>

During your stay, drive through the scenic roads as the middle of October is known as the peak time to see the leaves change in Michigan. Visitors can also participate or observe the Halloween walk that takes place in downtown Traverse City. Choosing this campground as a destination is likely to give you all the homey feels - in a good way!<\/p>

This campground holds a parade through the campsite of trick-or-treaters, costume dressers, and staff members. During this time, they will judge your RV site decoration. We suggest adding lights to make your scene more dramatic. During the day, participate in Halloween themed games and bingo.<\/p>

The most unique part of this campground's celebration is the unveiling of the haunted mini golf course every year. Go take a put if you dare and race the par to make it out of the course alive!<\/p>

For the last two weeks of October, Gettysburg Campground stays consistent with the majority of the other campsites and offers the typical Halloween celebration activities. The list is completed with games, contests hayrides and, of course, a haunted trail that is only for the daring visitors.<\/p>

What makes this stop special is the pre-Halloween celebrations that are organized here. For two weeks before the holiday, you can participate in the Apple Harvest and Columbus Day celebration. Take part in a traditional Fall Harvest celebration centered around food and fun!<\/p>
