RVs are an investment, and you want to be sure you find one you love but in your budget. That\u2019s where RV financing comes into play. There are a few different options you have when it comes to financing. It can be difficult to find the right dealer for you, but with research and patience, you\u2019ll be able to find one that you can be honest with.<\/p>\n<p>Below, we cover a few reasons why we think you should finance through a dealer.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>First things first\u2026<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Be educated and financially prepared before you finance an RV. Be sure you know the ins and outs of financing and that you have enough money in the bank to follow through. You might think you don\u2019t need much money beforehand. (It\u2019s a loan, right?) But there are fees you must consider, and saving for a down payment is never a bad idea. The higher your down payment is, the lower your interest rate will be, and you simply won\u2019t have to finance as much.<\/p>\n<p>Also, be sure the monthly payment you\u2019ll be making is within your budget. You won\u2019t want to drive off the lot in your new RV just to realize you can\u2019t afford the payments.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>The dealer does the work for you<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>When you decide to finance through the dealer, it ends up being a bit easier on your end because they\u2019re doing the work on your behalf. Once you choose your RV, the dealer will then have you fill out a credit application. This gets sent to multiple lenders which allows you to choose the best rate to fit your needs. This way, you\u2019re able to compare rates and decide at what rate you want to pay your RV off.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes, the dealer will negotiate a higher interest than what the lender is offering and pocket the difference as compensation. This is fine either way, but that decision is up to you to make. If you don\u2019t mind a higher interest rate \u2013 go for it! Just be sure you have all the information before you decide.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Don\u2019t forget \u2013 you can always pay more than the minimum payment amount!<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Even if you do get a great deal on your RV loan, that doesn\u2019t mean you can\u2019t pay more than your monthly bill amount. Paying off your RV faster by paying more each month will open up a bit more money for you to spend on the road or in campgrounds.
