I have my hot water tank in my RV that will not shut down after it hits the right temperature. My question is do they make these tanks with factory build in temperature in them. I looked and do not see any control to turn down the hot water temperature. What happens is it boils out from the pressure valve. Would a new pressure valve solve this problem ???

Water heaters have thermostats built in. If yours does not turn off, the thermostat may be bad.

Mine is on the back of the tank under the sink. Its a module type and all by itself. The rest of the controls like circuit board and such are on the front of the water heater accessible from outside.
