REMOVE 3M Adhesive

My 03 Beaver Patriot has a coating of that scotchguard vinyl coating on the front and it's all cracked and the edges are turning brown. Tried pulling it off, but it tears and breaks off in little bits. Tried adhesive remover, still very little progress, Any suggestions on how to remove it?

You could try the trick I use to take stickers/labels off of painted surfaces.

Hair dryer and a plastic scraper (credit cards work). Play with the heat setting and scrape carefully. Try it in an out of the way spot first.

Took a new rider label off of my motorcycle gas tank that way. No sign it was ever there.
